NASCAR NAMES KRISTIN BUMBERA 2008 �PARTICIPANT OF THE YEAR� IN DRIVE FOR DIVERSITY PROGRAM

Daytona Beach, FL � February 11, 2009, The 2nd Annual NASCAR Diversity Awards Ceremony was held today at Daytona International Speedway. NASCAR executives and Drive for Diversity supporters gathered to recognize and celebrate many accomplishments in the area of diversity and inclusion across NASCAR and the motorsports industry. In what is said to be an overwhelming vote, 21-year-old Kristin Bumbera of Sealy, TX was awarded the 2008 �Participant of the Year� award. Bumbera was the single driver or crew member recognized for outstanding performance on-track as well as reaching out to youth regarding NASCAR and motorsports. �I would not be receiving this award if not for my Golden State Racing team - Frank Jordan and Eric Snyder and everything they've done. To be chosen by my peers as well as NASCAR executives for such an award is really humbling,� Bumbera said. �I just do what I know is important and take care of business every day.�

Charlotte, NC � January 22, 2009 � NASCAR executives announced today during NASCAR�s annual Media Day that 21-year-old Kristin Bumbera of Sealy, TX will drive for Hamilton Racing during the 2009 season. This is the second year that NASCAR has invited the hard-charging young female driver to participate in the Drive for Diversity program. Bumbera and team owner Bobby Hamilton Jr. have teamed up for a full season of competition in the NASCAR Camping World East Series where their goal is to win Rookie of the Year honors. This will be Bumbera�s first full season in the Camping World Series having run a limited schedule last season in the western division of this NASCAR regional racing series. In just her first two appearances Bumbera turned many heads in Texas and California with 11th and 14th place finishes.

Kristin Bumbera � The Texas Tornado wrapped up an outstanding NASCAR Whelen Late Model Season at All American Speedway in Roseville, CA this month with 2 wins, 4 poles, 12 top 5�s and 14 top 10�s. Driving for Golden State Racing; early in the season she shattered the track record which she still owns with a 13.69 second qualifying lap. Bumbera also made her debut in two races in the NASCAR Camping World Series West finishing 11th and 14th on two of the toughest tracks on the schedule, Kyle, TX and Irwindale, CA.

July 26, 2008 Roseville, CA - Kristin Bumbera grabbed her 2nd Feature win of the season Saturday night at All American Speedway. 

She qualified 6th and started on the pole with the invert. Kristin would go 
on to lead every lap of the main event as she worked lap traffic quicker than ever and was never seriously challenged.

BUMBERA SALVAGES A 14TH PLACE FINISH 
AFTER 9-CAR PILE UP AT IRWINDALE 4TH OF JULY

Houston, TX � Kristin Bumbera of Sealy, TX met up with the boys of the NASCAR Camping World Series at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, CA for the California Highway Patrol 200. Bumbera qualified lower than she was hoping to in the 22nd position but admitted that it wasn�t that bad considering the very experienced field of 32 cars. This was only her second race in the NCWS. Bumbera finished 11th in Kyle, TX in April and has been the only female to compete in the series this season.

PRESS RELEASE JUNE 22, 2008 KRISTIN BUMBERA 

Kristin Bumbera had a great weekend racing in the �Rumble in Roseville� twin 75 lap features at All American Speedway. She qualified 4th out of the 22 car field and won the fast car Trophy Dash. With a four car invert, Kristin started the feature from the pole along side current NASCAR state point's leader Gary Glenn.

RACE UPDATE JUNE 14, 2008 � NASCAR WHELEN SERIES- ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY, ROSEVILLE, CA

The day started out with Kristin being second quick in practice and having a very consistent race car. Kristin set a new track record in qualifying with a 13.690. She started 4th in the Main event with the invert and while working for position on the outside another car moved up into her left front fender.

Saturday May 24th at All American Speedway started out well for us with Kristin Bumbera. She was 2nd quick in the first practice and 1st in the second session. Kristin qualified 4th at 13.89 and finished 2nd in the trophy dash.

08SportStory.jpg (78517 bytes) On the day Danica Patrick claimed her historic victory at Twin Ring Motegi in Japan last month, Kristin Bumbera was half a world away. Bumbera was running at Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle, Texas, just south of Austin. She finished 11th in the Allstate Texas Thunder 150 Race, part of the Camping World West series. She was the only woman running. She's used to that. Decades after Shirley Muldowney knocked down the gender barrier at the top levels of drag racing, success by women in motor sports is still largely hit or miss.

Another Successful Night of Racing With Kristin

The GS Racing team had another successful night at the races with Kristin Bumbera. Starting with qualifying, Kristin set fast time out of the 19 car field with a 14.02 and placed 2nd in the trophy dash.

RACE UPDATE APRIL 26, 2008 � NASCAR WHELEN SERIES-
ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY, ROSEVILLE, CA

Bumbera scored her second top five finish in 2008 with a fourth place finish in Roseville. In only her second race at All American Speedway Bumbera put the #00 TXI-Riverside Cement Chevrolet on the front row just .07 seconds off of the pole position.
