KRISTIN BUMBERA FINISHES STRONG AT SOUTH BOSTON SPEEDWAY
Bumbera competed for the first time at South Boston Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Series 150 May 30th. The #94 Loves Travel Stops Dodge team struggled to get a handle on the set up during practice resulting in a 22nd place qualifying position.
However, Bumbera, the only female driver in the series would drive the car for all it had for 60 laps before being able to pit for some adjustments. She continued to battle a tight racecar all night after several attempts to improve the handling failed. Despite the difficulties Bumbera was able to finish as one of the top 4 hard chargers of the race advancing 7 positions. She would finish in 15th position, which is her best finish of the season driving for Hamilton Racing.
Im happy with a somewhat decent finish finally, said Bumbera. We had a few obstacles to overcome this weekend but I made the best of the situation. Putting my Mom in the spotters position this week gave me a little more support going into the race. She has been my spotter for the past several years and has so much confidence in me.
Bumbera currently ranks 14th in the NASCAR Camping World Series East points standings. Opportunities are now available to partner with Kristin Bumbera, the highest-ranking female NASCAR driver. For more information contact Cheri Bumbera at 281-685-0449.
