BUMBERA TAKES POINTS LEAD MAKING HER MARK IN TEXAS HISTORY

June 4, 2007 � Houston, TX Kristin Bumbera, 19-year-old driver of the TXI-MAXIMIZER CONCRETE #00, made history as she took the lead in the championship battle at Houston Motorsports Park in Saturday nights 75 lap ASA Pro Late Model feature.

 Never before in the state of Texas and many other states for that matter has a female driver ever lead or won the points championship of a late model series. Starting from the 6th position Bumbera drove a consistent race fighting for 4th position most of the night until she was spun from behind with just a few laps remaining. 

The incident caused a right front flat tire and a pit stop, which would give Bumbera a 10th place finish. However, it was still high enough to allow her to take over the points lead for the first time in her young career. 

Bumbera was relieved to hear that she had done it. �I thought that pit stop was going to cost us our chance to lead the points tonight. We accomplished what we came here to do and that was to leave here with the points lead. Now we just keep marching forward through the rest of the season. We�d really like to have that championship!�
